3. Multikonferenz in Leipzig: 24.-25. September 2012

There are two different ways to help achieve the goals of the MLODE workshop, you can become a sponsor or donate money. As a sponsor you will receive certain benefits such as your logo on all SABRE pages. The money we will receive will be partially used to organize the MLODE Workshop itself (i.e. invite speakers, financial aid for travel costs). The grand of the money, however, will be used to aid the involved communities. Please see the items, we would like to collect money for, in the next section.

Community aid

  • DBpedia direly needs its own dedicated server, so all the management services (web site, downloads, mappings wiki) can be hosted on one server. Currently, access is fragmented and each part is hosted on different servers. This will make DBpedia more reliable. (Note this will not affect the SPARQL Endpoint and Linked Data, which is hosted by OpenLink)
  • Hire developers for projects, that help to maintain community infrastructure, i.e. keep the web site up to date, answer requests on the mailing list.

We will continue to help members of the Working Group for Open Data in Linguistics convert their data to RDF and give advice to debug their Linked Data endpoints.

While MLODE has an international audience, SABRE is a (mostly German) multi conference with over 10 sub-conferences and workshops. Overall, we expect 400-500 participants for SABRE with a very interesting mix of students, academia and industry. The detailed information material about sponsorship benefits is available here in German . We translated an example package (silver sponsor) here (for 2,300 Euros, taxes not included):

  • exhibition area (size: 8 square meters) with free choice of location
  • half-page advertisement in the conference program
  • highlighting of the sponsor's name in conference material (e.g. on posters and flyers)
  • sponsor may add information leaflets and advertisement to official conference documents (conference bag) for the customers
  • hyperlink on the conference website to the sponsor's site

We can also create more individual sponsoring packages starting from 200 Euros. If you are interested, please contact Sebastian Hellmann and Steven Moran using:

For donations only write „donation“ in the purpose field of the transaction. If you want to donate money for a special cause, please write an email to and tell us, how much and when you made the transaction and for what you think the money should be used, e.g. „DBpedia server“. We will try our best to allocate the funds properly. Please also tell us, if we should make your donation public and what we should write.
